Keep that agreement along with your payment proof, forever. Do not give the collector direct access to your bank account. A secured card would be a good way to work on rebuilding your credit. However, that card won't even begin to count in your FICO score till the 6 month point. Even then, you won't see much improvement. You will really need at least 24 months of consistent, on time payment history to overcome the negatives. It takes years, not months.
