Question by Joker: Applying for a credit card that requires excellent credit?
Considering the following credit card options from the same company:
A: Chase Freedom® Visa – $ 150 Bonus Cash Back -> requires excellent credit (according to www.creditcardguide.com)
B: Chase Freedom® Visa Cash Back -> requires good credit (according to www.creditcardguide.com)
I’m applying for the credit card A that requires excellent credit. I don’t know my exact credit score but from what i got couple of months back it should be around 720-760 (good-excellent).
So my question is: if I apply for the credit card A and get declined, can I bargain for the other credit card (that needs just “good credit”) through customer service/account manager or whatever. I’m asking this in general, not specifically about Chase.
I know I can apply for the other card separately but since my credit is already pulled by the same company i wouldn’t want to add one more hard inquiry to my credit history.
Thanks for any help

You would call Chase in person.
It takes them about 2 seconds to pull up your credit.
They can tell you over the phone which card is best for you…
